“Art runs in my blood. Both of my grandmothers painted.  My mother was an artist and taught both in Santa Fe and in Texas. In my paintings, my goal is to find interesting perspectives - for example, small objects painted large or sightings from an unusual direction - and then to render the subjects in a way that allows the colors to interact in a pleasing way. Sometimes my shapes interlock to produce fairly close representation, and other times I target something that’s less distinct and more abstract. In all of this, I hope the viewer will be drawn into the painting and find it pleasing and fun.”

The work of this contemporary Texas artist may be seen at Farmer’s & Merchant’s Gallery in Pilot Point, Texas.
