Gwen Bell

Gwen is a self taught artist with a strong background in commercial art. Her 20 years of painting experience has led her down many avenues: graphic arts, illustration, murals, commissioned art, and now, full time fine art painting.She works in oils, choosing a variety of subjects ranging from lively pet portraits to bold still lifes. Her loose style may be described as modern impressionism with a pinch of realism. She takes a direct approach, often portraying still lifes from a birdseye view and prefers to capture candid moments taken from everyday life, giving her work a fresh quality.
